Experience
Three of the most formative positions I have been lucky enough to have been a part of.
World Surf
Leauge
Assisting as a cameraman and social media manager for the two 4-day events on the Central Coast of California.
Redlight Management
Editing sizzle reals for a Grammy-winning band and reporting on up coming artists that might be of interest to the managers I shadowed.
Hosted interviews with directors form around the world and acted as a juror for the festival's Music Video Category.
Jan. 2022- Feb. 2022 Central Coast, CA
The World Surf League is the official organization for all international professional surfers who wish to prove their skills on a world wide scale. The WSL hosts a multitude of annual competitions for both longboard and shortboard competitors.
-Acted as a live-stream cameraman for over 160 post-heat interviews for the WSL Network in the fast-paced media pit at both international surfing competitions in Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. When not behind the camera, I managed all social media content for Surfing for Hope, the primary sponsor, and edited official WSL images for RunAmuck Photography, for both 4-day events to promote local and regional engagement. Click the icon below to access the live streams I assisted in and take a look through the gallery to see some of the amazing shots I helped shoot and edit.
Mar. 2021- Sept. 2021 Los Angeles, CA
Redlight Management is the largest independent music management company in the world representing over 300 acts, including Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Enrique Iglesias, and The Strokes.
-Remotely shadowed the leading music manager in the industry famed for signing the Dave Mathews Band and the Foo Fighters, Bruce Flohr, while working on Grammy-winning Christian-Rock band, Switchfoot, and the Hoko. I was responsible with producing content for these bands' social media, including seven promotional social media videos, four of which are displayed below. Along with that, I researched new talent and provided feedback on prospective clients.
The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival is an annual 6-day film festival hosted between the giant media centers of Los Angeles and San Francisco showcasing modern and classic films in a wide variety of venues, from the city’s historic Fremont Theatre, to the popular independent Palm Theatre, with a variety of unexpected venues including Central Coast's Sunset Drive-in.
As an intern, I experienced what it takes to create a film festival and was given assignments that sharpened my interviewing, video editing, and social media skills. I managed the fest's social media on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and interviewed featured filmmakers that served as part of the "Q&A" section for the 2021 'Covid-19 safe' festival. I also co-hosted the first annual Music Video Category Q&A section with Suzanne Schonig, local radio DJ for KRUSH 92.5. Our interviews featured on multiple radio stations under American General Media, including KZOZ 93.3 and Coast 104.5.
